Jo graduated from St Andrews University with a degree in International Relations and Comparative Literature and has an MEd in the Psychology of Education from the University of Manchester. She has worked in the education sector ever since, not only as a tutor and manager, but also at BBC Bitesize and in a Pupil Referral Unit. She specialises in working with children who have Special Educational Needs and most recently ran the Student Support Centre at a school in South Manchester. Not only does she write for our own blog, but for educational companies such as Teachwire. She is passionate about making sure every child achieves their potential, regardless of circumstances, and is equipped with the skills they need to succeed.
